Founder & Director
SAM RHOOK

Sam is the Founder and Director of Thrive Outreach Australia, leading specialist youth development programs that support young people, schools, families, and communities through structured mentoring and creative engagement.

Drawing on more than 2,000 mentoring sessions across homes, schools, and community settings throughout Australia and internationally, Sam has developed a mentoring framework centred on identity building, self-expression, communication, and long-term developmental growth.

His approach combines structured mentoring with creative engagement - including Hip Hop, media production, and storytelling - to help young people build confidence, leadership capacity, and personal accountability in real-world environments.

In 2025, Sam delivered a keynote presentation at the International Childhood Trauma Conference, hosted by the Australian Childhood Foundation, presenting alongside leaders in trauma-informed practice on the use of Hip Hop-based songwriting and music creation as a practical framework for youth engagement and development.

“Sam Rhook is a rare talent - a deeply compassionate, intuitive, and patient practitioner whose presence alone creates safety and connection. I’ve had the privilege of witnessing him do truly transformative work with youth, blending creativity, authenticity, and therapeutic skill in ways that few can. His ability to meet young people where they are, to draw out their voices through trust and creative expression, is both inspiring and profoundly effective. I would highly recommend Sam to any organization seeking a facilitator or mentor who brings genuine care, professionalism, and impact to his work.”
